DePIN Expo 2025 today announced academic support from UC Berkeley. Professor Allen Yang, Executive Director of UC Berkeley FHL Vive Center and Co-founder of Berkeley DeFi Research Initiative, will provide academic guidance for the event.
Professor Allen Yang, a leading figure in decentralized technology research at UC Berkeley, actively promotes industrial innovation practices. Hitch Interactive, which he co-founded, developed programmable Non-Fungible Tokens based on IMF standards and AI in Immutable Miniverse services, and exclusively supports UC Berkeley ROAR (Robot Open Autonomous Racing) project, driving autonomous driving development.
This collaboration deeply integrates UC Berkeley's academic resources with DePIN Expo's industrial platform, enhancing Hong Kong's unique position as a global manufacturing and financial center, and helping DePIN Expo build a "Web3 version of CES".
It is reported that DePIN Expo 2025 will be held at Cyberport in Hong Kong on August 27-28. The event is initiated by DeMall, organized by Web3 Labs, MetaEra, and Techub News, with Cyberport as a co-organizer.
DePIN Expo 2025 is the world's first professional expo focusing on Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN), to be held in Hong Kong in August 2025. With the theme "Life, Reimagined with DePIN", the event will gather top global DePIN projects, public chain teams, investment institutions, hardware manufacturers, and policymakers, creating a comprehensive industry event covering ecosystem showcase, physical interaction, node deployment, industrial collaboration, and urban demonstration, dedicated to promoting DePIN technology from concept verification to large-scale implementation.
